The fifth thought solution concerns releasing resistance by letting go of thoughts and feelings that cause us to repel abundance and prosperity from our lives. This doesn’t mean spending day and night searching for unconscious beliefs and stuck emotions – it means dealing with issues when they arise in the present moment.
So far, we’ve talked about visualization, affirmations and paying attention to how you feel. Whatever is active in your vibration in this moment, that is what you are attracting. So, knowing how you feel will help you know what you are attracting. If you want more money, you might affirm your riches in the present tense or visualize having them. One of two things will occur whenever you try to focus on what you want:
a) you will immediately feel better, after affirming your desire as a present fact, and money will start coming to you in abundance
b) you will feel some resistance, in the form of negative thoughts or a feeling of being unclear
With big topics like money, health and relationships, the second option tends to come up because those are the biggest parts of our life and one’s that we have had most negative conditioning on. When resistance comes up in the process of meditation, visualization of affirmation, that’s the time to do some releasing of negative energy, thought and emotion.
Things like EFT, the Sedona method and ho’oponopono are excellent techniques for releasing resistance, but no fancy technique is necessary with most issues. A simple process of sending love to the issue, of accepting it and shinning light on it will release it. Understand that most of your subconscious issues are there because at some point you tried to repress them and hide them from yourself. A simple statement of love and acceptance, of yourself and of your belief, followed by affirmations of what you want out of life, are all it takes to create a better future for yourself.
The truth is, we don’t need affirmations or visualizations because we need to program ourselves for success and happiness – we are already all those things at the core of our being. We need these tools and techniques to de-program ourselves from the thoughts and beliefs that we have allowed ourselves to think, even though they prevent the good that we desire from entering our lives.
