Yesterday, I told you why releasing resistance is so important in the process of manifestation. Today, I’ll tell you exactly how you can do it. Three of my favorite techniques, which I will explain and go through in more detail below and in the next posts, are the Sedona Method, EFT and Ho’oponopono. Each one is a slightly different approach, with the same objective and each one’s success is governed by the same laws and principles.
So, let’s start with my favorite method:
1) The Sedona Method
The Sedona Method was inspired by a man called Lester Levenson and fully developed by Hale Dwoskin, one of the teachers that appeared in the movie The Secret. The Sedona Method is an extremely simple method, that helps you let go of stuck emotions and subconscious blocks, thus allowing you to access your natural and already-present ability to succeed. It is based on a premise that you are already whole, complete and perfect as you are, right in THIS MOMENT.
The full Sedona Method course was the best personal development investment I have ever made. Although the method is very simple, there are many different aspects and insights that go along with it, so going through this 20-CD course really helped me gain understanding about myself and how I can use the method faster, more effectively and how I can best use the many different approaches to releasing.
There are many different variations within the method, but it relies on on a few basic steps:
a) welcoming the emotion
b) digging deeper to see the want behind the feeling (wanting security, control, approval…)
c) allowing yourself to release it
d) rinse and repeat
Here is the process I most frequently use and which has helped me release a lot of resistance about money, success, relationships and health:
Question #1: Can I welcome this feeling and allow it to be here?
As I answer YES, I welcome the feeling fully into my awareness and I just let it be there for a few moments. The most basic fact you’ll discover experientially is that once you stop suppressing, repressing and fighting against something, it loses its power.
Question #2: Where is this feeling coming from? Is it coming from wanting approval, security, control or separation?
In the full course, Hale explains how virtually every resistant emotion has it’s origin in a few basic wants, like wanting approval/disapproval, control/being controlled, security/being insecure, and so on…As you go through the course, it gets easier and easier to identify each feeling, which sheds more light on it and allows you to release faster, as well as see more clearly the layers of resistance.
As I answer this question in my mind, the feeling becomes more clear and I proceed to the next question.
Question #3: Can I let this feeling go? Can I set it free? Can I watch it dissolve?
This is actually a series of questions, and no matter if you answer with a YES or a NO, with each question and answer the feeling loses its hold on you and you begin to feel lighter.
For some things, I do these questions just once or twice, and the resistance is gone, but for a lot of stuff I just keep going until I feel relief. It works best for me when I combine it with visualization and doing affirmations, which is when I activate negative feelings the most. It’s also a time when the releasing of them is easiest.
I wish I could find the words to convey to you the power of this method and what kind of lasting change you can accomplish by using it.
As I read through what little I have explained about this method, two things immediately come to mind. The first is that I haven’t even scratched the surface of the depth and power of the method (there’s a reason why the course has 20 CD-s). The second thing is – if you just use this one simple process in a persistent and minimally patient manner, you will get amazing results! Make sure you visit Sedona.com, check out the courses, grab all the free resources you can and, if you’re a book lover like me, you can get The Sedona Method book on Amazon.
We will continue talking about releasing techniques tomorrow, and we’ll look at EFT.
Until then,
Josip
