Taking 100% responsibility for 100% of your life – that’s the name of the game.
All releasing techniques, like the Sedona Method and EFT, are based on an assumption that our results and circumstances in life are our responsibility and our creation. So, when we release resistance and clear out negative and limiting beliefs, we become free to create prosperity, abundance and happiness in our lives.
The third releasing technique I want to talk about is called Ho’oponopono. It’s a practice that has a long history and its modern variation is something very simple, yet profoundly influential and life-changing.
I first heard about Ho’oponopono in Joe Vitale’s book Zero Limits, where he talks to a Hawaiian doctor that miraculously healed an entire ward of mentally insane criminals, without any personal contact with any of them. If you want the whole story, get Joe’s book. Here, I’ll focus on the punchline and the practical application of the technique.
Ho’oponopono is based on taking 100% responsibility for the results in your life and using a simple mantra while focused on the issue you wish to heal or release:
“I’m sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you. I love you.”
If it sounds simple, that’s because it is. These four phrases, repeated again and again, create a spirit of healing and acceptance, that causes the issue to slowly dissolve. You can reverse the order in which you use them and use just one or two phrases, but the effect is the same.
I use Ho’oponopono when people trigger something within me and I feel an issue that I need to resolve. I use it when I’m lying in my bed and fear, worry and sleeplessness step in. I combine it with EFT and the Sedona Method as well as when I visualize or write and something disturbs my peace.
Imagine the possiblities with an inner talk that looks like this: “I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you…”
I love you
